Is AI auto-apply safe?
Yes, when the tool applies on each employer's own application form, writes the application from your real resume, and lets you decide what gets sent. Auto-apply gets accounts restricted when it drives a site that bans bots, like LinkedIn, and it hurts your chances when it sends one generic resume to every role it finds.
Below: where bans actually come from, what recruiters can see, exactly how Dreamwork sends an application, and what it won't do.
Will auto-apply get you banned?
From LinkedIn, it can. LinkedIn's User Agreement says members may not use bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access its services, and its help center says members who use third-party automation risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. A tool that runs Easy Apply in your logged-in session puts your profile at that risk.
Dreamwork doesn't log in to LinkedIn or automate Easy Apply. It applies on company career sites and applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, SmartRecruiters, and iCIMS), the same forms you'd fill in by hand.

Will it hurt your chances?
What a recruiter can hold against an application is what's in it: a resume that doesn't fit the role, a cover letter written for some other job, or answers that don't match your background. Automation makes those easy to send at scale. It doesn't have to.
Dreamwork writes a resume, cover letter, and answers for each role from the experience you already have. It changes emphasis and wording for the role, not the facts. Autopilot only picks roles that clear your minimum match score (70% unless you change it) and fit your role, work style, and location preferences. No tool can promise interviews; the point is that every application with your name on it is one you'd have sent yourself.
Exactly how Dreamwork sends an application
One-tap apply or Autopilot, and both go through the employer's own form.
Dreamwork writes the application
Save a role and Dreamwork prepares an application pack: a tailored resume, a cover letter, and answers to the employer's questions. You can edit any of it.
One-tap apply: you see it first
Read the pack, change what you want, and click Apply Now. After you check the confirmation, the agent fills in the employer's application form and submits it. Nothing is sent before you do.
Autopilot: opt-in, no review of each one
On a paid plan you can turn on Autopilot. It applies to roles from your matches that clear your minimum match score, without asking about each application, up to 50 applications a month on Pro and 300 on Dreamer. Pause it anytime, and anything not yet submitted stops.
From your AI assistant: it asks first
Over MCP, Dreamwork holds every apply until your assistant confirms it with a one-time token that expires after two minutes, so the assistant can show you what will be sent. How agents connect.
You see what went out
Every application shows up on your Applications page. If a form can't be submitted automatically, the pack stays ready for you to send yourself.
What Dreamwork won't do
Drive your LinkedIn
We don't log in to LinkedIn or automate Easy Apply, so your profile isn't put at risk under its terms.
Send without you on one-tap
With one-tap apply, nothing is sent until you check the confirmation and apply.
Lower your bar
Autopilot only applies to matches that clear the minimum match score you set and fit your role, work style, and location preferences.
Go past your plan's limit
Autopilot sends up to 50 applications a month on Pro and 300 on Dreamer, and pauses whenever you say.
Change the facts
Each resume and cover letter is built from your real experience. We change emphasis and wording, not what you've done.
Share your resume unasked
Your resume only goes to an employer when an application is sent, by you or by Autopilot.
How to check any auto-apply tool
Five questions worth asking before you hand a tool your name, whichever one you pick.
Where does it submit?
On the employer's own form, or through a platform account like LinkedIn whose terms ban automation?
Can you see an application before it goes?
And is that the default, or something you have to switch on?
Is each application written for the job?
A resume and cover letter per role, or one resume sent everywhere?
Is there a limit, and an off switch?
A monthly cap you can see, and a pause that stops anything not yet sent.
Does it tell you what happened?
Every sent and failed application in one place, so nothing goes out under your name that you can't find.
Is AI auto-apply safe? FAQ
Is it safe to use AI to apply for jobs?
Yes, when the tool applies on the employer's own application form, writes each application from your real resume, and lets you decide what gets sent. The risks come from tools that drive a platform account whose terms ban automation, like LinkedIn, and from tools that send one generic resume to every role.
Can auto-apply get my LinkedIn account banned?
It can, if the tool drives your LinkedIn account. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits bots and unauthorized automated methods, and LinkedIn's help center says members who use third-party automation risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. Dreamwork doesn't log in to LinkedIn or automate Easy Apply. It applies on company career sites and applicant tracking systems.
Will auto-applying hurt my chances with employers?
Sending the same resume to roles it doesn't fit can. An application written for the role from your real experience, sent through the employer's own form, reads like one you wrote yourself. Dreamwork changes emphasis and wording for each role, not the facts on your resume.
Does Dreamwork apply to jobs without asking me?
Only if you turn on Autopilot, which is off until you do. With one-tap apply, you see each application and tap Apply before anything is sent. Autopilot applies to matches above your minimum match score without asking about each one, up to 50 applications a month on Pro and 300 on Dreamer, and you can pause it anytime.
Will I know what was sent?
Yes. Every application Autopilot sends shows up on your Applications page, and we email you what went out, per application or as a daily summary.
What happens if an application can't be submitted?
Your application pack is still ready. We link you to the employer's application with your resume, cover letter, and answers ready to copy in, so you can submit it yourself.
