Teal Review 2026: A Strong Free Tracker That Doesn't Apply
Teal's free plan tracks unlimited jobs and resumes. It doesn't fill in or submit applications, by its own account.
Teal is a job tracker and AI resume builder for a search you run yourself. Its free plan tracks unlimited jobs and keeps unlimited resumes, and Teal+ costs $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days. Teal says it doesn't fill in or submit applications. Dreamwork is the better pick if you want tech roles ranked to your resume and each application written and sent for you.
How this review was done
This review comes from Teal's own public pages: its pricing page, job tracker and resume builder pages, and its Teal vs Huntr comparison, read signed out on 5 November 2026. We did not pay for Teal+, so nothing here is a test report.
Full disclosure: Dreamwork builds an AI job-application agent, and Teal is one of the tools people weigh against us. Teal has no score in our ranking. Teal doesn't fill in or submit applications, so it isn't scored as an auto-apply tool. The rest of how we compare explains what the ranking scores.
What Teal is in November 2026
Teal is a workspace for running your own search. A Chrome extension saves jobs from boards such as Indeed, Glassdoor and Built In into a tracker, where each job moves through stages from Bookmarked to Accepted. Each saved job keeps the resume version you used, contacts, a follow-up date and a checklist. The resume builder shows the keywords from each job description beside your resume and writes bullets, summaries and cover letters with AI.
Its own comparison with Huntr is plain about the limit: Teal's extension "saves jobs and contacts but does not fill in or submit applications." You export the PDF, apply on the employer's site, and move the job to Applied yourself.
Teal's site says it has over 4 million users. The page gives no date or source for that figure, so treat it as Teal's claim.

Where Teal wins
- A generous free plan. Unlimited tracked jobs and unlimited resumes, with no card. Dreamwork's free plan writes a tailored resume and cover letter for 5 jobs a day.
- Hands-on resume editing. Templates, design control, keyword matching and AI writing you accept or reject line by line. Dreamwork writes each resume for you.

Teal vs Dreamwork
| Teal | Dreamwork | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Job tracker and AI resume builder | AI job search agent for tech, AI and startup roles |
| Finding roles | You search, and save jobs with the extension | Live roles ranked to your resume |
| Applies for you | No; it doesn't fill in or submit | Apply and Autopilot, on paid plans |
| Resume per job | You tailor a version with AI help | Written for every role, on every plan |
| Free plan | Unlimited tracking and resumes | A tailored resume and cover letter for 5 jobs a day; you apply yourself |
| Volume | Whatever you send yourself | 50 applications a month on Pro |
| Price | Free; Teal+ $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days | Free to start. Pro is $99 a quarter (about $33 a month) or $39 month to month |
| Our score | Not scored: it doesn't submit applications | Scored on our published criteria; we make it |
New accounts can try Pro free for 7 days, then it's $39 a month unless you cancel. The trial is on monthly billing, one per account, and checkout asks for a card.
The two can sit side by side. If you like Teal's tracker, keep it for the roles you find yourself, and let Dreamwork rank roles and write and send the applications for the rest.
So, is Teal worth it?
The free plan is worth using if you run your own search and want one place for every job, resume version and follow-up. Teal+ is worth paying for if you edit resumes by hand and want every keyword and unlimited AI writing; the 30-day plan covers about a month of a search. It won't send anything for you.
Pick Dreamwork instead if you would rather have tech roles ranked to your resume and each application written and sent, with the option to read every one first. See Dreamwork vs Teal for the side-by-side and Teal alternatives for tools that do apply for you.
Frequently asked questions
Is Teal free?
Yes. Teal's free forever plan includes unlimited resumes and unlimited job tracking, 10 resume templates, the top 5 keywords from each job description, and a few AI credits: 5 resume bullets, 2 summaries and 2 cover letters. No card is needed to start.
How much is Teal+ in 2026?
Teal's pricing page lists Teal+ at $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days, which it gives as $1.85, $0.96 and $0.87 a day. We read those prices on 5 November 2026.
Does Teal apply to jobs for you?
No. Teal's comparison with Huntr says its extension saves jobs and contacts but does not fill in or submit applications. You apply on the employer's site and mark the job as applied in the tracker.
Why isn't Teal in Dreamwork's auto-apply ranking?
Teal doesn't fill in or submit applications, so it isn't scored as an auto-apply tool. We list it on our comparison pages, with its prices and a link to its own pages, but give it no score.
Is Teal or Dreamwork better for a tech job search?
For tech roles ranked to your resume, with each application written and sent for you, Dreamwork. For tracking a search you run yourself across many boards, with a free resume builder, Teal. We make Dreamwork, so check both tools' own pages, linked under Sources.
