We're on the lookout for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a team in Hornby, working for a company that specializes in manufacturing roll forming systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their way around CNC mills and lathes, can confidently programme machines, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
The work involves low-volume, high-value components with tight tolerances, so attention to detail and a strong understanding of precision machining are key.
What you'll be doing
- Programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes
- Working with Doosan DNM 4500 and Leadwell V-50L milling machines, along with a Doosan CNC lathe
- Machining high-precision, low-volume components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Checking your own work and maintaining high-quality standards
- Taking ownership of jobs and ensuring everything is machined accurately
- Conducting routine machine maintenance and equipment checks
- Solid experience as a CNC Machinist
- Confident programming, setting and operating CNC machines
- Experience with both milling and turning
- A strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision work
- The ability to work independently and problem-solve
- Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and doesn't cut corners
- Location: Hornby
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm
- Pay rate: $40+ per hour
