Surveying The Bay is looking for a CAD Draughtsperson to join our established team, preferably with some previous drafting experience.
We've been operating in Hawke's Bay for more than 20 years, based in Hastings with a strong, loyal client base throughout the region. At heart, we're surveyors. We have a strong subdivision and land development focus, backed by quality field and office equipment.
We're looking for someone with sound CAD drafting skills, preferably using AutoCAD, a good eye for detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality plans. Experience working with survey data would be a definite advantage, along with familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Landonline (LOL) and LINZ Data Service (LDS).
You'll be working alongside our experienced surveyors on a variety of cadastral, topographical and land development projects. An understanding of surveying processes, spatial data and GIS applications would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in someone with CAD skills who is keen to learn and develop their knowledge.
Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who will fit into our small, experienced team, take pride in their work and enjoy the variety that comes with working in a busy surveying practice.

Ideally, you'll have some experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software, within surveying, civil engineering or land development. Experience with GIS software would be an advantage, although not essential.
We're more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and willingness to learn than ticking every box.
