Are you an experienced Class 2 driver looking for something a little different?
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Class 2 drivers to join a busy airline catering operation at Auckland Airport.
This isn't your typical delivery driving job!
You'll be operating specialised high-lift catering trucks that service commercial aircraft, helping ensure flights depart on time with everything they need on board.
What's involved?
This is a hands-on operational role where driving is only a small part of your day.
You'll be responsible for:
Checking and preparing airline catering orders.
Making sure meals, supplies and equipment are correctly allocated to flights.
Loading and unloading catering trolleys and equipment.
Operating specialised Class 2 high-lift catering trucks.
Delivering catering supplies directly to aircraft.
Working alongside a team in a busy airport environment.
Following strict airport safety and security procedures.
Most catering equipment is transported on wheeled trolleys, although some lifting and physical work is involved.
You'll also spend some time working in refrigerated areas.
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have:
A current NZ Class 2 driver's licence.
At least 12 months of practical Class 2 driving experience.
Confidence driving and manoeuvring large commercial vehicles.
Good attention to detail and a safety-conscious attitude.
A willingness to undertake hands-on work beyond driving.
The ability to work early mornings, afternoons and weekends.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
The ability to meet airport security clearance requirements.
