Claymark Group, is New Zealand’s largest manufacturer and exporter of premium pine products made from sustainably managed radiata pine plantations in New Zealand’s central North Island. Employing over 600 employees across six sites.
At our Vaughan Road manufacturing site and View Road Sawmill, we’re looking for team members to join as General Hands across all shifts. These are excellent entry-level positions with full training provided. In this position you'll be moving timber boards, making up packets, strapping etc.
Night Shift – Mon to Thu - 6:00pm -5.00am
Weekend Night - Fri to Sun - 2:00pm - 2.00am
Key function and duties:
Sort, stack and strap at all machine work centres
Meet all grade specifications as requested by the company
Ensure that you follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Ensure the work area you are assigned to is clean and tidy to Claymark standards.
Our ideal candidate will:
Have a strong work ethic, and a track record of on-time attendance
Have good physical fitness, and able to work long shifts on their feet
Be able to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and use initiative
Work well in a team, take feedback, adapt and learn
Have their own reliable transport
Hold a current NZ work permit, residency or citizenship, as sponsorship is not available.
Please note that the successful applicant will need to pass a pre-employment drug test and provide excellent references.

Starting out rate is $23.95/hr, higher rates of pay may be available for those with timber machining experience. Attendance bonus and over time opportunities available.
