Senior Software Engineer
Location : Bethesda, MD (only local candidates)- Hybrid 3 days work from office

Contract-6 Months+

JD::

10 years of professional software engineering experience including designing developing testing deploying and supporting Java enterprise applications
Strong hands-on full stack development experience with TypeScript React and Nodejs
Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles application architecture design patterns clean coding practices and the software development life cycle
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs microservices and integration solutions
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including data modelling data access patterns and query optimization
Experience with NestJS Nextjs or other modern Nodejs frameworks are preferred
Experience with modern frontend development including state management libraries such as Redux MobX and Zustand as well as build tools such as Webpack and Vite are preferred
Experience developing cloud native applications using AWS Familiarity with GCP is a plus
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization deployment and orchestration
Experience with CICD and DevOps practices including source control automated builds testing deployment and release processes
Experience developing and maintaining automated unit integration and automation tests using modern testing frameworks and tools
Familiarity with event driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka is preferred
Understanding of application and API security including authentication authorization secure coding practices secrets management and vulnerability remediation
Good understanding of scalability reliability availability performance and maintainability considerations for enterprise applications
Experience debugging complex technical and production issues and performing root cause analysis
Experience with application logging monitoring and observability practices and tools
Experience working with Git based source control and collaborative development workflows
Strong analytical problem solving communication collaboration and technical decision making skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross functional Agile engineering teams
