Test Automation Engineer- ADB/UIAutomator/UIAutomator2/ Appium

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python and Robot Framework.
The role focuses on developing and maintaining automation solutions for Android Automotive AOSP-based infotainment systems, covering both HIL and SIL test environments.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Android devices/emulators, Linux systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools.
Responsibiliies:
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
• Automate Android Automotive / AOSP and infotainment test scenarios.
• Perform Android automation using ADB, UIAutomator/UIAutomator2, and Appium.
• Execute automated tests on HIL, SIL, physical devices, and emulator-based environments.
• Debug automation and test failures using logs, ADB commands, and other debugging tools.
• Integrate automated test suites into GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Git/GitHub for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Use GitHub Copilot effectively for automation development, debugging, and improving productivity.
• Analyse test results, identify root causes, and work with development/test teams to resolve issues.
• Improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency

• Hands-on experience with ADB, UIAutomator/UIAutomator2, and Appium.
• Good experience working with Linux-based systems and command-line tools.
• Good understanding of Android applications and Android/AOSP systems.
• Working knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
• Ability to use GitHub Copilot effectively for development and debugging.
• Basic understanding of Unit Testing, API Testing, and Integration Testing.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, log analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Android Automotive / AOSP-based infotainment systems.
• Experience with HIL and SIL testing.
• Experience testing on automotive benches, physical devices, and emulators.
• Knowledge of CAN communication and automotive interfaces/protocols.
• Experience with REST API automation using Python.
• Familiarity with Android/Linux environments and market-standard test tools and techniques is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Office tools, and professional communication platforms
• Open to use AI enabled technologies to improve throughput
