Are you an organised, commercially minded administrator who enjoys working with numbers, systems and people? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied accounts and administration role, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy operation.
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can confidently manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and provide reliable support across accounts, payroll, HR, compliance and general business administration.
If you enjoy taking initiative, improving processes and being a trusted part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll play a central role in keeping the business organised, financially accurate and running efficiently. This is a hands-on, varied position that combines accounts administration with operational coordination and wider business support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts & finance: Process accounts payable and receivable, prepare supplier payments, complete reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting, budgeting and cashflow monitoring.
Payroll & HR: Coordinate payroll and timesheets, maintain employee and leave records, assist with recruitment, onboarding, inductions and employment documentation.
Office administration: Manage day-to-day office operations, document control, recordkeeping, communications and administrative systems.
Reporting & operational support: Maintain accurate stock, pricing and operational records, assist with reporting and forecasting, and support management decision-making.
Health, safety & compliance: Maintain registers, training records, compliance documentation and accreditation requirements, and assist with audits and incident reporting.
Business support: Help improve systems and processes, maintain marketing and communication channels, and build positive relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
About you
You’re someone who takes pride in getting the details right, follows tasks through to completion and can adapt when priorities change. You’re comfortable working independently, communicating with a range of people and handling confidential information professionally.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
At least three years’ experience in administration, accounts, payroll or office coordination.
Experience with accounting software such as Xero.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel or similar systems.
A good understanding of payroll, HR administration and health and safety systems.
Strong numerical, organisational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
The ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
A current, clean Class 1 driver licence.
Experience in a hands-on operational environment would be an advantage, but is not essential. Training will be provided where required.
