About the role | Mō te tūnga

As a Support Worker in our Community Hub, you'll help create fun and engaging experiences for people with intellectual disabilities. You'll plan and lead activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, music, fitness, gardening, games, and community outings that support people to build confidence, develop skills, and connect with others.

This is not a traditional support or personal care role. The focus is on leading activities, encouraging participation, building social connections, and creating positive community experiences.

Previous disability support experience is not essential. We welcome applicants who have experience leading, facilitating, teaching, coaching, or engaging groups and can bring those skills into a community-based environment. We're particularly interested in people who can bring ideas and energy to the role. Whether that's arts and crafts, cooking, music, fitness, gardening, games, cultural activities, or community outings, you'll help create meaningful experiences that people look forward to each week.
