About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, licensed Crane Truck Operator to join our streetlight pole replacement crew. You will drive and operate our truck-mounted crane, lifting old streetlight poles out and setting new poles in place. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes safety seriously, can lift accurately near overhead lines and traffic, and takes pride in looking after their truck.

Key Responsibilities

Crane operation

•         Operate the truck-mounted (loader) crane to remove, lift, place and stand streetlight poles, brackets, lanterns and foundations

•         Plan each lift: check load weights, crane capacity, outrigger setup, ground conditions and exclusion zones before lifting

•         Keep safe approach distances to overhead power lines and other hazards, following network owner rules

•         Work with dogmen and crew using clear hand signals or radio during lifts

•         Stop work when conditions are unsafe (wind, ground, nearby services, traffic or public)
