Qualifications of Urology Physician Assistant (NP/PA):
Active CA Physician Assistant License
Board Certified
BLS Certification
1+ years of experience
Duties/Responsibilities of Urology Physician assistant (PA):
- Evaluate and manage patients with common urologic conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and cancer surveillance appointments.
- Assess and manage preoperative and postoperative urology patients, including robotic surgery follow-ups.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans.
- Provide patient education, counseling, and ongoing care coordination.
- Manage conditions including:
- Elevated PSA and abnormal DRE findings
- Erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, prostatitis, and other male reproductive health concerns
- Hematuria and genitourinary pain
- Urinary retention, neurogenic bladder, UTIs, incontinence, and voiding dysfunction
- Kidney stones, flank pain, and renal mass surveillance
- Collaborate with urologists and refer patients requiring complex surgical or oncologic care.
