About the role
Shoe Clinic Dunedin is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Full-Time Retail Assistant to join the team in our fast paced specialty footwear store. You will provide outstanding customer service in helping customers find the right footwear for their needs, whether they are getting back into running, managing an injury, staying active, looking for comfortable everyday shoes or simply wanting the right fit. You will be part retail assistant, part footwear expert, and part customer service superstar.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming customers into the store and making them feel comfortable
Listening to what customers need and helping them find the right footwear
Recommending footwear and products based on each customer's needs and goals
Following our sales process
Learning about and working with leading footwear brands such as Asics, New Balance, Adidas, Brooks, and Birkenstock
Keeping up to date with new products, promotions, and campaigns
Learning to use our treadmill and gait analysis technology
Keeping the store and stockroom clean, organised, and looking great
About you
A strong interest in exercise, particularly in running and/or walking
Experience in retail, hospitality, sales or customer service
A friendly, positive and approachable personality
A desire to provide outstanding customer service
Good communication skills and the ability to listen
Energy, enthusiasm and a good work ethic
A reliable, punctual and trustworthy nature
The ability to work well as part of a team
Flexibility and a proactive attitude
A professional and well-presented manner
