Hays Senior Finance are working with a well-established and successful business in Droitwich as they look to appoint an Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client provides specialist products in both the UK and overseas and is a true market leader in their field.
Your new role
This is a newly created role reporting to the Financial Controller, where you will take ownership of accurate and timely monthly accounts while ensuring that financial processes, ledgers and controls remain robust. You will also provide commercially focused support to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and reports
- Provide business partnering support to operational stakeholders
- Reconcile balance sheet and key P&L accounts
- Calculate accruals and prepayments
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Complete VAT reporting and support statutory compliance
- Support the year-end audit process
- Contribute to finance system and process improvements
What you'll need to succeed
- Newly qualified Accountant or active finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a similar role
- Track record of producing management accounts to strict deadlines
- Knowledge of key accounting principles and procedures
- Experience working with overseas subsidiaries (highly advantageous)
- Proactive and commercially aware
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large volumes of financial data
- Proficient using accounting software and business systems
