  • Confidence using digital systems, including spreadsheets, shared documents, email and databases; experience with Xero, EdPay or school systems would be an advantage.

  • Good written and spoken communication, with a willingness to ask questions and follow things through.

  • Honesty, discretion, confidentiality and sound professional judgement.

  • Accuracy with financial information and the ability to follow established processes.

  • Initiative, efficiency, flexibility and a willingness to be part of a small team.

  • A friendly, culturally respectful and responsive approach, recognising and valuing the identities, languages and cultures of tamariki and whānau, including Māori as tangata whenua.

  • All shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete the Police vetting process. No applicant will be permanently appointed until a satisfactory Police vetting result has been received.

About us

Haumoana School is a thriving, semi-rural primary school on the Cape Coast, serving our Haumoana and Te Awanga communities and surrounding areas. Our values are respect, resilience and whanaungatanga. We want our tamariki to feel they belong, to enjoy learning and to grow in confidence. We are a close-knit team. People help one another, no two days are quite the same, and relationships with children and whānau matter as much as efficient systems.
