White + Wong’s Newmarket is looking for an experienced Head Pass Master and energetic Food Runners to join our busy front-of-house team.

Part of Good Group Hospitality, White + Wong’s delivers vibrant South-East Asian-inspired food in a fast-paced, fun dining environment. We’re looking for people who thrive during a busy service, communicate well and know how to keep things moving!

HEAD PASS MASTER

Our Head Pass Master is the vital link between the kitchen and front-of-house team, coordinating the pass and making sure every dish leaves the kitchen smoothly, accurately and at its best.

You’ll work closely with the Head Chef while directing food runners and communicating with the wider floor team throughout service.

This is a fast-paced role that requires confidence, organisation and excellent communication.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Must have current NZ working rights

• Has previous experience in a busy, high-volume hospitality environment

• Thrives under pressure and stays calm during a busy service

• Is an excellent multitasker with strong attention to detail

• Can confidently communicate between the kitchen and floor teams

• Is organised and comfortable following systems

• Can confidently direct and coordinate a team

• Has a positive attitude and plenty of energy

• Is available to work evenings and weekends

FOOD RUNNERS

Our Food Runners play a huge part in keeping service flowing and ensuring our guests receive their food quickly, professionally and with a smile.

You’ll need to be energetic, switched-on and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

We’re looking for people who:

• Are confident carrying plates and working on their feet for long periods

• Can multitask and work quickly while maintaining attention to detail

• Communicate clearly and listen well

• Stay calm and focused under pressure

• Are reliable with great timekeeping

• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Are available to work evenings and weekends

• Have previous hospitality experience – although training will be provided for the right person
