Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, varies; weekend required.
Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will support acute care patients based on physician orders throughout the hospital. This role involves working within a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological cases, orthopedics, and general debility. The therapist will document and utilize the One Chart - Cerner system within the Acute Care OT department.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions and evaluations to patients in acute care settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient recovery and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with hospital policies.
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty is required for this position.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license.
