I'm currently seeking a Senior Technical Network Engineer for a government opportunity in Canberra, supporting enterprise network operations and major infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
This role is ideal for an experienced network engineer with strong hands-on networking, firewall and network security expertise, looking to contribute to a large-scale enterprise environment.
As this role requires an NV1 security clearance, applicants must be Australian citizens to be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN, routing, switching and wireless.
- Manage firewall configurations, network segmentation and secure connectivity.
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents, performance issues and connectivity problems.
- Support Azure and hybrid cloud networking, including secure connections between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Deliver network upgrades, technology refreshes and security remediation activities.
- Work with managed service providers and vendors to ensure reliable network services.
- Develop technical documentation, network designs and implementation plans.
- Strong experience in enterprise network engineering and infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls and network security technologies.
- Solid knowledge of routing, switching, LAN/WAN and secure remote access.
- Exposure to Azure networking, hybrid cloud environments and network modernisation.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.
