We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer in Auckland with solid civil construction experience and the confidence to take ownership on site.
You’ll be joining a strong-performing civil contractor delivering complex infrastructure across water, wastewater, pipelines, drainage and reinforced concrete structures.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the build, can work across programme and cost, and wants a clear pathway towards Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of significant work packages and help drive them from planning through to delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering water, civil and reinforced concrete work packages
Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, procurement and construction activities
Managing programme, cost, forecasting, quality and risk
Working through methodology, buildability and technical issues
Driving strong H&S, client and stakeholder outcomes
You need to know what is happening on site, understand where your package sits commercially and deal with issues before they become bigger problems.
What We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in Project Engineers with experience across water infrastructure, complex civils and RC structures.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Project Engineering experience with a civil infrastructure contractor
Experience across water, wastewater, pipelines, complex drainage or RC structures
Strong site-based construction and technical capability
Good understanding of programme, cost control, forecasting and contracts
The confidence to take ownership and lead your part of the project
Experience across treatment plants, pipelines, complex drainage and reinforced concrete structures is highly advantageous.
Strong experience from other transferable horizontal civil infrastructure will also be considered.
Vertical building construction experience is NOT what we’re looking for.
