Our team is new, growing, and evolving quickly, and we are hiring across multiple disciplines. We work at the intersection of machine learning, hardware, and software, creating technologies that reshape how people communicate and experience the world around them in everyday life.
Every breakthrough in hardware starts with a bench, a setup, and a tool someone had to build to make the first measurement possible. We are the team that builds them.\\nTools \u0026 Infrastructure is a small, growing team that designs the software behind our hardware test setups, lab research rigs, and the proprietary tooling used across the company for dedicated hardware research. Our tools are what let researchers and hardware engineers run experiments, collect data, and trust their results.\\nWe’re looking for a software developer with a real passion for hardware. You enjoy the moment when code makes a physical device do something, you’re comfortable standing at a lab bench, and you take a problem from a vague request to a working solution that people actually use.
Design and build macOS tools and applications, primarily in Python and Swift, for hardware test setups, lab research setups, and lab automation\\nDevelop company-wide tools used by multiple teams for dedicated proprietary hardware research, and support them as real products with real users\\nOwn problems end to end: understand the need with the people at the bench, design the solution, implement, deploy, and iterate until it works in the lab\\nIntegrate with instruments, sensors, and custom hardware over USB, serial, Bluetooth, network, and other lab interfaces\\nBuild supporting infrastructure as needed: cloud dashboards, databases, data pipelines, and reporting for test and research results\\nImplement algorithms and data-processing logic that turn raw measurements into usable results\\nSupport Windows environments when lab equipment or vendor software requires it\\nMake advanced AI coding tools a core part of how you build, and help the team move faster with them\\nTake part in design and code reviews, and help raise the quality and maintainability of the team’s tools
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar\\n3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a track record of shipping tools or applications that others use\\nSolid working experience in Python applications development\\nA genuine interest in hardware: comfortable around lab equipment, reading datasheets, and debugging across the hardware/software boundary\\nAbility to take an open-ended problem and deliver a complete working solution on your own, from requirements to deployment.\\nGood programming fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, I/O, testing, and debugging\\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with advanced AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as part of daily engineering practice\\nStrong communication skills and a service mindset toward internal users such as researchers and hardware engineers
Familiarity with Swift, TypeScript and React and the ability to become productive in it quickly, with experience on macOS\\nExperience building lab automation, test fixtures, instrument control, or measurement software (e.g., SCPI/VISA, DAQ, oscilloscopes, power supplies)\\nExperience with hardware interfaces and protocols: USB, UART, SPI/I2C, BLE, or network-based device control\\nExperience building dashboards and databases for engineering data (web or cloud, SQL/NoSQL)\\nExperience implementing signal-processing or other algorithms in Python\\nExperience with Windows development or tooling, and with cross-platform deployment\\nC, C++, or Objective-C experience for performance-sensitive or driver-adjacent code\\nBackground in embedded or firmware-adjacent development\\nHobby or personal hardware projects (electronics, 3D printing, sensors, robotics)\\nExperience with CI/CD, packaging, and distributing internal tools to many users
