About the role
Walker & Co Realty is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Queenstown, Otago. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties ensuring they are well-maintained and leased to high-quality tenants, building strong relationships with landlords and tenants, and playing an active role in growing our property management business.
As a part-time position, the role offers flexibility and autonomy, making it ideal for an experienced Property Manager who is confident working independently while being part of a supportive and successful real estate team.
Key responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of residential rental properties, ensuring a high standard of service for landlords and tenants
Coordinate property marketing, conducting viewings and liaising with prospective tenants
Assess tenant applications, conduct reference and credit checks
Prepare and execute tenancy agreements
Manage the end-to-end move-in and move-out process for tenants
Regularly inspect properties to ensure they are well-maintained
Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and address any maintenance issues
Collect rent payments and arrears management
Coordinate and oversee property repairs and maintenance
Provide regular reports and updates to landlords
About you
At least 2 years' experience in residential property management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with tenants and landlords
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Proficient in using property management software and Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of relevant residential tenancy legislation and regulations
Adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Full NZ drivers license
Legal right to work in New Zealand long term
