About the role
Are you a highly skilled Reach Truck Operator who takes pride in working efficiently, safely, and accurately?
We’re looking for an experienced, highly capable Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team. This is an important position for someone who can take ownership of our reach truck operations, maintain a high level of productivity, and help keep warehouse operations running smoothly.
You’ll be the primary operator of our reach truck, responsible for moving and locating stock, replenishing warehouse locations, and picking orders accurately and efficiently. Work will be allocated through pick lists or directed via the reach truck workflow, so being organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently is essential.
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility. When reach truck duties are quieter, you’ll switch to container freight duties and assist with other warehouse tasks as needed. We’re looking for someone who understands that while operating the reach truck is their primary responsibility, being part of the team means being prepared to jump off and lend a hand wherever required.

What you’ll be doing
Operate the reach truck — safely and efficiently move, locate, retrieve, and replenish stock throughout the warehouse.
Take ownership — act as the primary reach truck operator, maintaining consistent standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Pick and replenish orders — work from pick lists or tasks directed through the RT workflow, ensuring the correct stock is picked and moved to the right location.
Work efficiently — maintain a high work rate, maximise the effective use of the reach truck, and complete tasks within required timeframes without compromising safety.
Support container freight operations — when reach truck duties are quieter, switch to container freight duties to keep workloads balanced and contribute to overall warehouse productivity.
Lend a hand when needed — be prepared to jump off the reach truck and assist with picking, packing, loading, unloading containers, and other general warehouse duties.
Maintain accuracy — ensure stock is handled correctly, locations are accurate, and goods are moved without damage.
Work safely — follow all health and safety procedures, operate equipment responsibly, and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Work as part of the team — communicate effectively with the warehouse team, respond to changing priorities, and contribute to the smooth running of daily operations.
What we are looking for

You’ll take ownership of our reach truck operations, maintaining a high work rate and ensuring stock is moved and orders are picked accurately. When reach truck duties are quieter, you’ll be happy to switch to container freight and lend a hand with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating BT/Toyota reach trucks; however, this is not a prerequisite.
You will have:
Proven experience operating a reach truck in a busy warehouse environment.
Strong operating skills and confidence working at height and in tight spaces.
A high work rate, with the ability to work efficiently without compromising safety or accuracy.
A current, valid and appropriate forklift/reach truck operator certification or licence for the role.
A reliable, punctual approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and follow pick lists and warehouse processes accurately.
The physical fitness required for hands-on warehouse duties, including loading and unloading containers.
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to jump in and help the wider team whenever needed.
