Due to recent growth, a rare opportunity has come up and Viaduct City Rentals are seeking to employ an Inspection Agent to join our dynamic team.

Start your career in property management with a team that invests in your future.

Are you organised, detail-oriented and enjoy a role that gets you out and about? We’re looking for a motivated Property Inspection Agent to join our growing residential property management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door of the property industry and build a long-term career. You don’t need previous property management experience — we’re looking for the right attitude, a strong work ethic and someone who is keen to learn.

This role offers a genuine pathway into property management. Previous team members have started in junior inspection roles and worked their way up to becoming Property Managers. We’re proud to offer opportunities for people who want to develop their skills, take on more responsibility and grow their careers with us.

About the role

Working alongside our experienced property management team, you’ll help ensure our managed properties are well maintained and presented to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine inspections of residential rental properties.

  • Taking clear photographs and preparing accurate, detailed inspection reports.

  • Identifying maintenance issues and reporting items requiring attention.

  • Monitoring property condition and presentation.

  • Communicating professionally with tenants, landlords, contractors and colleagues.

  • Managing your inspection schedule and completing reports within required timeframes.

  • Supporting the wider property management team as required.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and takes pride in their work.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

  • Confidence using computers, smartphones and software.

  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and the ability to travel between properties.

  • A professional, friendly and solutions-focused approach.

Previous property experience is an advantage but not essential. We’re happy to train the right person who demonstrates initiative, reliability and a genuine interest in the industry.

What we offer

  • Full training and ongoing support from an experienced team.

  • A genuine career pathway into residential property management.

  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress into more senior roles.

  • A supportive team culture where initiative and hard work are recognised.

  • A varied role that gets you out of the office and into the field.

  • The opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing property management business.
