We currently have two exciting opportunities in our busy and well-respected Cafe; we are looking for a full-time Cafe Chef and a part-time Cafe Chef/Cook.

Artisan Café, Rangiora Bakery is a well-established and vibrant North Canterbury business. We work hard and are committed to providing our customers with high quality and consistent food and service.

 What your new role involves:

·         Making colorful, eye catching, mouth-watering savory cabinet food as well as sweet baking.

·         Cooking the best tasting breakfast/brunch or lunch in Rangiora

·         Working alongside our talented and experienced kitchen team, developing new products that will delight our customers and keep them coming back for more.

Days and Hours of Work:

Full-Time Chef will be required to work Tuesday to Saturday, actual hours of work can be agreed with successful applicant.

Part-Time Chef/Cook, days and hours to be agreed with successful applicant, there is a requirement to work one weekend day.

 About you, you will have

 ·       Previous experience in a commercial kitchen

·         A chef qualification (required for full-time Chef role) but an advantage for part-time Chef/Cook position.

·         A passion for great food, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining our high standards.

·         Experienced in cabinet food preparation and presentation, along with hot line and short order cooking

·         Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety and health and safety regulations

·         Thrive in a busy and high-pressure environment, working with a sense of urgency

·         Have a high attention to detail and dedication to maintaining standards.

·         Be physically fit

·         Excellent communication skills

·         A positive attitude

·         Able to work as part of a team or independently

·         Committed to success and ensuring excellent customer service
