We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Operations Manager to lead the operational environment within the Astute Business in New Zealand.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to our established network of lending and risk advisers. Working collaboratively with advisers, lending/risk partners, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing success of our business in the New Zealand marketplace.
The successful candidate will bring extensive industry expertise in the New Zealand Lending and Risk environments, and will have a strong understanding of the governance frameworks in this space. Experience working within third-party distribution environments and familiarity with adviser and risk networks will be critical to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the operational environment for Astute New Zealand
Build, strengthen and manage relationships with key Industry Partners in the New Zealand Third Party marketplace
Provide coaching, mentoring and strategic business support to NZ advisers, helping them improve capability, productivity and customer outcomes.
Deliver training, presentations and workshops to members on important operational imperatives, including regulatory initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams including , Marketing, Operations, Compliance and Leadership to deliver a seamless member experience.
Maintain a strong understanding of lender policy, regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure best practice and compliance.
Represent Astute at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and promote the Astute brand.
Coordinate Training and Development Activities and support the onboarding of new Advisers for the business in New Zealand
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant experience in Lending and Risk Third Party environments in the New Zealand market
Strong understanding of Residential lending processes, lender credit processes in the Third Party space
Strong understanding of Information Technology solutions across Lending and Risk in the New Zealand market
A proven ability to develop trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
High levels of self-motivation, initiative and accountability, with the ability to work autonomously.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Experience
Experience working with mortgage, finance and risk advisers within Third Party environments
Familiarity with Commercial General Insurance Broking
Existing relationships in the Third Party Lending space.
Familiarity with New Zealand Regulatory requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or a related discipline (desirable).
