Underground Civil & Drainage Ltd is a growing civil and drainage contractor delivering high-quality residential, commercial and civil infrastructure projects throughout the Manawatu and surrounding regions.

As our workload continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Drainlayer to become a key member of our team.

About the Role

You'll be involved in a wide variety of projects including:

Residential and commercial drainage installations
Stormwater and wastewater reticulation
Sewer and watermain construction
Civil earthworks and excavations
Manhole and chamber installation
Pipe laying and testing
Reading plans and setting out works
Working alongside excavator operators and civil crews

No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work on everything from small residential jobs through to large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have:

NZ Registered or Certified Drainlayer (preferred but not essential for the right applicant)
Experience installing stormwater, sewer and wastewater systems
Experience operating around live services
Class 2 driver's licence (Class 4, WTR endorsements an advantage)
Strong understanding of health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Pride in producing quality workmanship
