About the role

This is an on-call position to cover holiday and sick leave in a seven-day-a-week facility. You will prepare traditional meals for independent senior citizens in a supported living facility, with shifts from 6.00 am to 2.15 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, morning tea and hot cooked lunch and dessert

• Prepare a light evening meal

• Maintain high standards and adhere to food safety and hygiene compliance within a commercial kitchen facility

• General kitchen cleaning duties

• Great home cooking skills

• Compassionate with a good sense of humour

• Excellent communication skills

• Can manage time effectively

• Able to work well independently and as part of our friendly team
