About the role

We're looking for a warm, customer-focused Retail & Experience Host to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you'll be a key face of WCF—welcoming visitors, making drinks at the café counter, assisting with our hands-on chocolate-making experiences, and ensuring our shop remains clean, inviting, and running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer questions about our bean-to-bar process, operate the POS, and sell our chocolate range

• Assist in hosting and co-guiding chocolate-making workshops and factory tours

• Prepare hot chocolates, coffee, and cold drinks with high quality and speed

• Maintain high hygiene standards, including daily cleaning, dishwashing, counter resetting, and stock replenishment

About you

• Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience/event roles

• Availability to work weekend shifts is a must

• Barista skills /experience making coffee and hot beverages is highly desirable

• A natural communicator who loves engaging with groups and sharing stories

• Reliable, tidy, and proactive with cleaning and general store tasks

• Passion for craft food, ethical produce, or local Wellington hospitality
