About the opportunity 
A great opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious Senior Chef to join a great team. Servicing around 80-150 covers for dinner and 200 for breakfast in the high season.  Both TDH and a la carte.  

The candidate could come from a hotel or events background and must have previous experience in kitchen as a Senior Chef.

Responsibilities & Key tasks
You will have a knowledge of both conferencing and A la carte restaurant service, take pride in what you are producing and can pass on your passion and knowledge to the team
1. Produce quality cuisine across the two outlets in the hotel
2. Assisting with food control plan and updating CHOMP hygiene system
3. Have a strong focus on health and safety and NZ food hygiene standards
4. Ability to order stock and manage food rotation
5. Understanding some food budgeting, to assist in menu design and day to day specials

The ideal candidate will have:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Senior Chef
2. Needs to be proficient on grill hot section
3. Buffet, Banquet and a la carte experience
4. A professional approach and a passion for the industry
5. Excellent communication skills
6. A positive work attitude and flexibly with shifts
7. Currently resident in New Zealand with appropriate work permit

Seasonal staff accommodation available

Hours of work - this is a full-time role on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, weekends, school holidays and public holidays will be required to be worked to meet hotel demands.
