If you enjoy variety in your L&D work, like getting involved in different projects and love seeing your ideas come to life, this could be a great next move!

We're looking for a Learning & Development Advisor who brings a good mix of creativity, practical thinking and strong organisational skills. Someone who enjoys working with people, is happy to roll up their sleeves and gets real satisfaction from creating great learning experiences.

It's an opportunity for someone who likes having a bit of variety in their day, enjoys coming up with ideas and is just as happy getting stuck into the detail to make things happen.

What you'll be doing

No two days will look quite the same! You'll be working across a mix of:

  • Designing and developing practical, engaging learning experiences, resources and digital content.

  • Coordinating learning programmes from initial planning through to delivery, follow-up and evaluation.

  • Working closely with facilitators, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to develop and deliver learning.

  • Taking complex information and turning it into something clear, useful and easy for learners to understand.

  • Managing programme schedules, learner communications, resources and the little details that keep everything on track.

  • Reviewing and improving existing learning content and looking at different ways to engage learners.

  • Developing and updating digital learning, including testing and quality checking content before it goes live.

  • Gathering learner feedback and finding ways to make programmes even better.

There's a good balance between learning design and coordination, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys both. You might be developing a learning module one day, working with a stakeholder the next or helping get a new programme off the ground.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Hands-on experience in learning design and development, along with coordinating learning programmes or projects.

  • A good understanding of adult learning and what makes a great learner experience.

  • Experience working with subject matter experts to develop learning content and resources.

  • Familiarity with digital learning tools, eLearning authoring software or learning management systems.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail.

  • An interest in how people experience learning, with UX design experience being a bonus.

  • A commitment to developing your understanding of Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

A bit about you

We're looking for someone who brings more than just technical skills. You're naturally curious, enjoy working with people and genuinely love what you do!

You're proactive, full of ideas and someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do. You enjoy getting involved, finding solutions and looking for ways to make things better.

You're a team player who enjoys building relationships, collaborating and having a laugh along the way. You're confident working independently, taking ownership and seeing things through.

Most importantly, you care about creating great learning experiences that are practical, engaging and genuinely useful for the people they're designed for.

What's on offer?

  • A varied role where you'll get to work across learning design, digital learning, programme coordination and delivery.

  • A supportive, collaborative team where you're encouraged to share your ideas and try new things.

  • The opportunity to work with a fantastic leader who genuinely cares about developing people and giving them room to grow.

  • Interesting and varied programmes and projects that contribute to capability development.

  • Opportunities to build on your existing skills, learn from others and get involved in new initiatives.
