About the role
As a Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will design and develop integrated security and electrical solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives. Combining system design, solutions architecture, and technical expertise, you'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable, and commercially viable solutions across a range of security technologies and applications.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop integrated security and electrical solutions for commercial customers.
Create system architectures, specifications, and technical documentation.
Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, and cost-effective solution designs.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and best practice.
Provide technical expertise throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, scalability, and customer outcomes.
About you
You’ll be an experienced Solutions Architect, Systems Designer/Engineer or Senior Security Technician looking to come off the tools. You’ll have extensive and demonstrable experience within the electronic security industry and proven experience supporting sales activities, solution design, and customer engagement. You will also have:
At least 5 years’ experience in the electronic security industry, with demonstrated hands-on experience in engineering, solution design, technical consulting, and estimating.
NZ Certificate in Electronic Security (Level 3) or equivalent qualification.
Experience with integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability.
A customer-focused and commercially minded approach.
Experience with leading security platforms such as Gallagher, Inner Range, Genetec, Tecom, Milestone, or similar is highly regarded.
