Role Overview:
Are you looking for an exciting contract opportunity in Brisbane's inner north? We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting organisational activities, system enhancements, and data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze complex data sets, improve business processes, and build meaningful visualisations.
What You Will Do:
Identify, interpret, and analyse complex data using statistical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Collate, analyse, and document reporting requirements to design visualisations, dashboards, and predictive models using Power BI.
Support data governance frameworks by driving data quality, integrity, and security across business operations.
Prepare data dictionaries, statistical reports, business cases, software requirement specifications, and presentations.
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to effectively manage expectations, communications, and delivery outcomes.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
Strong expertise in data analysis and data visualisation using Power BI, alongside solid business analysis capabilities.
Proven experience engaging stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and recommend cost-effective data solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated negotiation and collaboration abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of modern business intelligence tools, data frameworks, and emerging IT technology trends.
Required Technologies: Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Office
Desirable Technologies (not requried): Microsoft SQL databases, Azure, Dynamics365, AWS QuickSight, T-SQL, R, or Python.
