About Manukora
Manukora is a New Zealand-based Manuka honey brand on a mission to bring the world's most authentic, ethically sourced honey to people who care about what they put in their bodies. We sell direct-to-consumer, on Amazon, and through retail partners across the US, GCC, and UK. We're a fast-growing team that moves with urgency, values real relationships, and sets the bar — not just meets it.
About the Opportunity
You will be a key part of Manukora's Production team — filling and packing our honey accurately, efficiently, and safely to meet growing demand across our global markets.
We want a Packing Operator with real fundamentals and a great attitude to match: someone who is confident running filling and packing equipment, comfortable diagnosing and fixing basic faults on the line, and steady enough to be a go-to reference point for less experienced staff. You'll work closely with the Packing Team Lead as the site scales, with real ownership over your lines and work area.
What You'll Own
Fill and pack, done right, every time. You'll run filling and packing equipment in line with SOPs and Batch Packing Records (BPRs), hitting daily and weekly production targets with zero product non-conformances due to operator error. Quality control checks get completed and recorded to standard, not rushed or skipped.
Basic fault diagnosis, so the line keeps moving. Jams, misfeeds, sensor resets — you'll sort the routine stuff yourself and keep downtime to a minimum. You'll know the difference between a fault worth fixing yourself and one that needs the Packing Team Lead or Engineering, and you'll escalate promptly rather than let it drag on.
A clean, compliant, audit-ready work area. Cleaning, sanitation, and CIP get done on schedule and signed off — no exceptions. Equipment defects and safety threats get reported within 24 hours, and materials requirements get coordinated with warehouse staff so production never stalls.
Documentation that holds up. Log sheets and BPRs completed by end of shift, every time — current, accurate, and RMP-compliant. Deviations get flagged the same shift, not after the fact. You'll also help write new SOPs and batch record templates, and support investigations and corrective actions as needed.
A safety-first floor, and support for those coming up behind you. PPE worn correctly, hazards and near misses reported within 24 hours, and safe behaviour actively encouraged in the team. As a senior team member, you'll help train and coach junior staff, and resolve floor-level queries before they need to go to management.
Who You Are
You hold yourself personally accountable for the quality of your work — if something's off in your area, you own it. No deflecting.
You treat SOPs and BPRs as non-negotiable, not guidelines — precision and consistency come first.
Your machine fundamentals are solid — you can set up, run, and troubleshoot filling/packing equipment, and you know when to dig in yourself versus when to escalate.
You default to fixing problems, not just flagging them — if you raise an issue, you've already thought through what a fix looks like.
Documentation is your worst-case scenario to leave incomplete — if it can be logged the moment it happens, that's what you aim for.
You're a steady presence for junior staff — people learn by watching how you work, and you make time to help without being asked twice.
