About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Civil Reinstatement and Infrastructure Operator to join our team.
This is a hands-on role undertaking reinstatement and civil construction activities associated with utility, drainage, water, wastewater, telecommunications and general infrastructure works.
You will work across a variety of project sites, restoring roads, footpaths, pavements and other infrastructure assets following maintenance, excavation and utility works.
Key Responsibilities
▾ Carry out concrete and asphalt reinstatement works.
▾ Undertake trench backfilling, compaction and surface reinstatement.
▾ Complete footpath, pavement, kerb and channel repairs.
▾ Assist with excavation and general civil construction activities.
▾ Operate hand tools, equipment and plant safely and efficiently.
▾ Complete work in accordance with quality, safety and client requirements.
▾ Follow company health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
▾ Complete pre-start inspections, hazard identification and site documentation as
required.
▾ Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project objectives.
Working hours
This is a permanent full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
Due to the nature of civil infrastructure and reinstatement works, working hours may vary depending on operational requirements, project schedules and client needs.
Work may be undertaken across:
▾ Day shifts
▾ Early morning starts
▾ Evening or night shifts
▾ Weekend work where required
To be considered for this role, you will have:
A minimum of 1 years' relevant experience in civil construction, reinstatement, roading, utilities, drainage or infrastructure works.
Demonstrated experience undertaking concrete, asphalt, pavement and trench reinstatement activities.
Current Class 1 Driver Licence with Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow site plans, work instructions and quality requirements while maintaining effective communication with supervisors, team members and clients.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts when required.
Additional Skills and Experience:
The following skills and experience may support success in the role:
Traffic Management training or experience.
First Aid certification.
Civil construction or infrastructure-related training.
Experience working around water, wastewater, stormwater or utility networks.
