We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Cinema Manager to join our team at our much-loved independent cinema in the heart of Arrowtown.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, thrives on responsibility and enjoys being a part of a small, passionate team.
We're after someone who can take charge, think on their feet and keep things running smoothly - Whether it's a busy Saturday night, a film festival opening or a quiet afternoon behind the counter.
What does the role involve?
Leading, training and managing our front-of-house team
Staff rostering, recruitment and performance management
Banking, financial reporting and P&L responsibilities
Stock ordering, inventory management and regular stocktakes
Overseeing daily operations and maintaining high service standards
Learning our film programming and projection systems to support cinema operations
Special events, festivals and private screenings
Taking ownership, solving problems and keeping everything running to a high standard
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is confident, capable and genuinely enjoys being hands on and managing and business.-
Previous management experience in hospitality or a similar environment
Strong organizational and financial skills
LCQ and Duty Managers certificate
Confidence in making decisions and taking initiative
Practical hands on approach and experience managing and motivating a team
Great communication skills and a warm welcoming personality
The ability to learn new systems and juggle multiple priorities
Cinema management experience is not essential. We're much more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and management experience.
You'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of the cinema's daily operations, work alongside a passionate team and help shape the experience we offer our guests.
