About the role
This is a leadership role, not a desk job. You'll run the warehouse day to day – leading the team, owning stock accuracy and making sure every order and project dispatch leaves complete and on schedule. When it's busy, you'll be on the tools alongside the team: assembling, picking, packing and loading. You'll set the standard for how the space is organised, how stock is controlled and how the team works.
Key responsibilities
Lead, motivate and coordinate the warehouse team, including daily task allocation and rosters
Own stock management – receiving containers and imports, put-away, cycle counts and stocktakes
Keep stock records accurate in our system and flag shortages before they affect a job
Plan and prioritise picking, packing and dispatch so project orders go out complete and on time
Work hands-on when needed: assembling components, picking and packing orders, loading trucks
Keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised – a place for everything and everything in its place
Drive health and safety on site, including forklift operation, safe lifting and hazard reporting
Work closely with sales, project and installation teams so the right gear is ready when they need it
Spot and fix inefficiencies in layout, processes and workflow

Highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities
A hands-on attitude – you're happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
Clear, confident communication with your team and the wider business
Current forklift licence (F endorsement) and full NZ driver's licence
Competent with inventory or warehouse management systems and Excel
Physically fit for a role involving lifting and assembly work
NZ residency or a valid work visa
