Colour Matcher – Paint, Ink or Automotive Experience
Full-time, permanent | East Tamaki, Auckland
Have an eye for colour and hands-on colour matching experience? We’d like to hear from you.
Protective Paints is a New Zealand owned and operated paint manufacturer with over 50 years in business. Based in East Tamaki, we’re looking for someone with colour matching experience to join our factory and colour matching team in a full-time, permanent role.
This is a hands-on role based in our paint manufacturing factory, where you’ll work alongside our team to match and tint paint, check colour accuracy and consistency, and keep clear records so results can be repeated.
You may have experience in paint manufacturing, printing inks, automotive refinishing or another coatings business. What matters to us is practical colour matching experience, an understanding of colour adjustment, and pride in getting the result right.
We’ll teach you our system
We’ll provide training in our products, tinting system and tinters. You don’t need to know our range already, but you do need a foundation in colour matching.
What we’re looking for
Hands-on colour matching or tinting experience in paint, ink, automotive refinishing or a related industry.
An understanding of how colours interact and how to adjust a colour towards a target.
A careful, patient approach and strong attention to detail.
Someone comfortable working in a hands-on factory environment.
Reliability, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well with others.
A practical approach to keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.
What we offer
A full-time, permanent position as part of our factory and colour matching team.
Training in our products, systems and tinters.
The opportunity to build on your existing colour matching skills.
Pay based on your relevant skills and experience.
