The Opportunity

Our client who operates within the alternative investment and asset management sector are recruiting for an experienced Fund Accountant to join a busy and growing team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This role offers a varied workload across management accounts, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and investment-related accounting activities, making it ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
This opportunity would consider first movers from practice, with accounts preparation experience.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly management accounts and supporting schedules.
Prepare year-end statutory accounts and assist with corporation tax computations.
Perform bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations.
Reconcile investment transactions, investor activity, payments, and cash movements.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences and accounting discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounting records using Xero and Sage.
Support audits and liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.

About You

Essential

Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
Experience using Xero and Sage.
Proven management accounts experience.
Strong reconciliation skills, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational and communication skills.

Desirable

Year-end accounts and tax preparation experience.
Exposure to investment, investor, or partnership accounting.
Experience with AI, automation, or process improvement tools.
