The Party Room is one of New Zealand’s leading online party stores. We are looking for a part-time online store assistant to support our small team in our Avondale warehouse.

This is a part-time role consisting of 11 hours a week: 9am – midday on Saturday and 9am – 1pm on Monday and Tuesday. Working during the school holidays and Saturdays during long weekends is also required.

There is the potential for more hours on a casual basis.

The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for picking and packing online orders. A typical day will also involve helping customers via email, phone and in person, restocking shelves and other administrative tasks. This is a very busy role and a wide range of skills would be advantageous.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone that:
- Has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy with counting
- Is confident with technology
- Has excellent customer service skills and a professional standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Has a strong work ethic

Applicants for this position must:
- Have NZ work experience
- Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- Have a clean criminal record
