Management Accountant 6 Month Assignment

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team on a fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on position supporting financial reporting, cash flow management, month-end processes, and business decision-making.
The successful candidate will be able to quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of key finance activities, and provide accurate financial information to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
Post journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
Produce variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
Support cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
Assist with VAT returns, audits, and compliance reporting.
Support payroll administration where required.
Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision-making.
Work with stakeholders across the business to improve financial performance.
Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.

About You
Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
Strong month-end and management accounting experience.
Confident preparing reconciliations, journals, and financial reports.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Qualified, part-qualified, and Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates are encouraged to apply.
