Market Gardeners Ltd is a leading supplier of locally grown and imported fresh produce within New Zealand. MG is a 103 year old grower co-operative with a successful record of marketing, distributing and selling a comprehensive range of fresh fruit and vegetables. We work closely with New Zealand retail chains, food service and independent outlets to provide top quality produce, both domestically-grown and imported - Including leading global brands Dole and Sunkist.

We are looking for a Banana Storeperson to assist us in our fresh produce distribution warehouse in Christchurch. The roles require you to be physically fit, energetic and driven. The position involves all aspects of consolidating orders to meet delivery timetables for our retail and independent partners.

Key tasks and responsibilities are:

• Receipting product, checking and booking in product

• Picking products for orders

• Stock Management

• Forklift operation skills (training can be provided)

• Equipment maintainence

• Customer Service

• Internal Communications

• Quality Control 

The role requires applicants to have / be:

• Physically fit

• Hard working and reliable

• Attention to detail / accuracy

• Computer skills

• Full NZ drivers licence

• Forklift licence with F Endorsement (preferred)

The Hours:

• Sunday to Thursday 4:00am - 1:00pm

• Weekends as required

Please note there will be flexibility required around days and times of shifts in order to accommodate Banana vessel arrivals.
