Fixed-Term Escort Security Officer – Wellington

Armourguard Security is looking for reliable and professional Security Officers to join our Wellington team for a fixed-term summer assignment from 1 December through to 31 January.
The position is paid at $28.95 per hour.

About the Role
Working as part of a team, you will provide security escort services throughout the Wellington region, supporting the safe and secure movement of personnel and/or vehicles between locations.
The work will involve a combination of driving and escort duties, with team members sharing responsibilities depending on the requirements of each assignment.
Hours are generally 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required depending on operational requirements.
You’ll be representing Armourguard while working across a range of locations, so professionalism, reliability and good communication are essential.
Key responsibilities
Provide professional security escort services throughout the Wellington region.
Work alongside other security officers as part of an escort team.
Drive company vehicles when required.
Maintain awareness of your surroundings and identify potential security or safety concerns.
Follow operational instructions, security procedures and agreed escort routes.
Maintain regular communication with other team members and operational staff.
Complete any required documentation and reporting.
Represent Armourguard professionally when dealing with clients and members of the public.
About You
We’re looking for people who are dependable, switched on and comfortable working as part of a team.
To be considered, you will need:
A full New Zealand Driver Licence.
A current Security Certificate of Approval (COA), or eligibility to obtain one.
To be available for the fixed-term period 1 December to 31 January.
Availability to work Monday to Friday, generally 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
The ability to follow instructions and established security procedures.
Confidence driving throughout the Wellington region.
A reliable and punctual approach to work.
Good situational awareness and the ability to remain calm and professional.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
What We Offer
$28.95 per hour
Monday to Friday work.
Generally, 7:00am–3:00pm, giving you evenings and weekends free.
A defined two-month fixed-term assignment over December and January.
