The Hospitality & Retail Assistant is an essential part of the team at Liquorland Te Atatū and Mr Illingsworth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. From assisting customers and processing sales to maintaining high store standards, you'll help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience across both venues.
This is a Fixed-Term Full-time position working a minimum of 40 rostered hours per week. Flexibility is key, with availability to work late nights, weekends, and across both locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and create positive experiences for customers across both Liquorland Te Atatū and Mr Illingsworth.
- Assist customers with product selection, purchases, and general enquiries.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising.
- Assist with stock replenishment, stock rotation, and inventory control.
- Support the team in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of both venues.
- Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer service role.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience handling cash and operating POS systems is advantageous.
- Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across both locations as required.
- LCQ qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week
