PW Engineering is looking for at least one experienced Fabricator / Mechanical Installation Fitter to join our skilled team.

Based at our Mosgiel workshop, this role offers a great combination of fabrication, welding and mechanical fitting, along with opportunities to work on industrial installation projects throughout New Zealand.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working with a supportive team and is happy to travel when projects require it.

About the role

You'll be involved in a wide range of mechanical engineering work, including fabrication, machining, welding, fitting and assembly of components and equipment.

Our workshop is your permanent base, with opportunities to join our site installation team on projects around New Zealand. These projects can involve extended periods working away from home, typically returning home on weekends.

Whether working in the workshop or on site, you'll be contributing to the delivery of quality engineering solutions for our clients.

What we're looking for

• A recognised mechanical engineering trade qualification or equivalent industry experience

• Experience in fabrication, mechanical fitting and general metalwork

• Competency in MIG, TIG and Arc welding

• Ability to obtain welding tickets

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Strong practical problem solving skills and attention to detail

• A positive, team focused attitude and commitment to safety

• Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required
