Botswana Butchery Auckland is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team part time at our premium waterfront restaurant in Auckland's historic Ferry Building.

Known for exceptional food, premium dining and outstanding service, Botswana Butchery is one of Auckland's most established dining destinations.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in, can keep up with the pace of a busy kitchen and takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What we're looking for

  • Previous kitchen hand experience in a busy restaurant preferred

  • A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Excellent cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards

  • Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to help wherever needed

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for long periods

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Your responsibilities

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen

  • Washing dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils

  • Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required

  • Keeping kitchen and storage areas tidy and well maintained

  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy services

  • Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
