Prestige Coolrooms is a leading provider of modular coolroom and freezer solutions across Australia, servicing a diverse range of industries requiring temporary and long-term refrigeration solutions.
As part of our strategic growth plans, we are launching operations in New Zealand and are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands on Business Development / Operations Manager to lead this exciting expansion.
This is a combined Business Development and Operations Management role. It's an opportunity to establish a new market, build key supplier and contractor networks, grow revenue, and create the operational foundations for a successful New Zealand business.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll enjoy significant autonomy, influence and the chance to be a key contributor to the future growth of the Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers in New Zealand.
About the Role
This is a dual focus role combining business development with operations management. You will be responsible for:
Business Development
Identifying and developing new business opportunities across New Zealand.
Building relationships with organisations that rely on refrigeration and freezing solutions.
Prospecting, presenting and demonstrating the benefits of Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers product offering.
Developing market intelligence and competitor insights.
Converting opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.
Growing market share and establishing Prestige Modular Coolrooms and Freezers as a preferred supplier in the New Zealand market.
Operations Management
Establishing and managing New Zealand operational infrastructure.
Securing and managing a suitable operational yard facility.
Building and coordinating a contractor network including transport providers, refrigeration technicians and maintenance contractors.
Managing logistics, delivery, installation and collection of coolroom units.
Coordinating repairs, maintenance and refurbishment activities.
Monitoring quality, safety and service standards across all operational activities.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 12 months, you will:
Establish Prestige Coolrooms' operational presence in New Zealand.
Secure and manage a suitable yard location.
Build a high performing contractor network.
Deliver measurable growth in fleet utilisation and market share.
Create a strong pipeline of new customers and recurring revenue opportunities.
About You
You'll be a self-starter who enjoys building things from scratch and taking ownership of outcomes. We're looking for someone who has:
Experience in operations, logistics, field services, equipment hire, transport, refrigeration, construction or a related industry.
A proven track record in business development, sales or account management.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent relationship building and communication abilities.
Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and make decisions with confidence.
A genuine entrepreneurial mindset and passion for growth.
