Who are we?

New Zealand owned and operated since 1978, Kings Seeds (NZ) Ltd is a family-owned business supplying a huge range of seeds including flowers, herbs, vegetables, sprouting and microgreens  to home gardeners and commercial growers throughout New Zealand.

As the "seed people", we're passionate about helping Kiwis grow with confidence. We pride ourselves on quality products, practical gardening advice and outstanding customer service. We also enjoy supporting local schools, community groups and gardening initiatives.

What will you be doing?

This is a permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work from our Katikati office or remotely from anywhere in New Zealand.

You'll work closely with our Content & Partnerships Manager, helping to create and deliver engaging content across our social media channels, newsletters, marketing campaigns and community programmes.

Your main duties will include:

• Creating, editing and scheduling engaging social media content, including posts, captions, images and short videos.

• Supporting the preparation of newsletters, seasonal promotions and marketing campaigns.

• Monitoring social media channels, responding to routine enquiries and helping maintain positive engagement with our customers.

• Assisting with the coordination of our ambassadors, partnerships, giveaways and community initiatives.

• Organising content calendars, images, videos and other marketing resources.

• Helping with basic reporting and identifying opportunities to improve how we work.

What skills should you have?

Ideally, you'll have:

• Practical experience creating, editing and scheduling social media content.

• Strong written communication skills and a creative eye for engaging content.

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

• Confidence using digital tools and social media platforms. Experience with Canva, CapCut, Meta tools, Shopify or Klaviyo would be an advantage.

• A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A friendly, approachable manner and a willingness to get involved in a variety of activities.

• An interest in gardening or growing your own food would be a bonus!
