Parts Interpreter – Access Equipment & Mobile Plant

Full-time | Forrestdale, Perth

Know your way around mechanical parts and enjoy tracking down the right component? KW Services is looking for a Parts Interpreter to manage parts enquiries, sourcing and orders for our workshop, field technicians and customers.

Experience in automotive, trucks, agriculture or other machinery is welcome: you don’t need to have worked with access equipment. Our current Parts Interpreter will provide on-the-job training to help you learn our equipment, suppliers and processes.

About KW Services

We specialise in the inspection, servicing, repair and parts support of elevated work platforms (EWPs), forklifts, truck-mounted EWPs and other plant and machinery.

Based in a modern workshop in Forrestdale, we’re a growing business with a practical, close-knit team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of our parts function and have a direct impact on keeping equipment and jobs moving.

What you’ll do

You’ll work closely with our technicians, service team, suppliers and customers to:

  • Identify parts using machine details, diagrams and supplier manuals

  • Source parts, compare pricing and prepare customer quotes

  • Place orders for workshop jobs, field service work and customer sales

  • Follow up deliveries and backorders, keeping the team informed

  • Receive, check and allocate incoming parts

  • Maintain accurate parts records and monitor stock levels

  • Collect and deliver parts when required.

What you’ll bring

You may already be a Parts Interpreter, Parts Advisor or Parts Coordinator. We’re also open to someone with strong mechanical knowledge and relevant experience sourcing and ordering parts who is ready to step into the role.

You’ll need:

  • The ability to identify mechanical parts and work with diagrams and manuals

  • Good computer skills and accurate record-keeping

  • The organisation to manage several orders and priorities

  • A practical approach to solving problems and following up suppliers

  • Clear, friendly communication with customers and colleagues

  • A current, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.

Experience with EWPs, forklifts, cranes or material-handling equipment would be helpful, as would familiarity with Xero or a forklift licence.

What we offer

  • Full-time, stable employment

  • Remuneration based on your experience

  • On-the-job training in our equipment, suppliers and processes

  • Variety across multiple equipment brands and machinery types

  • A friendly team where you’ll work directly with the people you support

  • The opportunity to improve how we source, organise and supply parts

  • A modern workshop and office, conveniently located off Tonkin Highway with ample parking.

Interested?

If you have parts experience or strong mechanical knowledge, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply with your resume. A short introduction about your relevant experience is welcome, but a formal cover letter isn’t required.
