The role
- Operating 40T articulated dump trucks (Moxy-style machines) on civil construction and earthworks sites.
- Transporting soil, aggregate, rock and other materials around site.
- Working alongside excavator operators, loaders and other plant operators to maintain efficient site operations.
- Following designated haul routes and site traffic management plans.
- Completing daily pre-start inspections and reporting faults or maintenance requirements.
- Maintaining safe operating practices around other workers and heavy machinery.
- Supporting general site operations as required.
- Proven experience operating Moxy / articulated dump trucks, ideally 40T machines.
- Previous experience on civil construction, bulk earthworks or infrastructure projects.
- A strong understanding of site safety, haul roads, loading and dumping procedures.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy civil construction environment.
- A reliable attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- A commitment to maintaining equipment and following health and safety procedures.
Applicants must hold the appropriate licences and demonstrate competency for the work involved.
- Full NZ Class 1 driver's licence as a minimum for general site access, where required.
- NZ Class 2 licence if required for any applicable heavy-vehicle driving duties.
- WTR endorsement if required to operate applicable wheeled special-type vehicles on public roads.
- Relevant operator training, unit standards or demonstrated competency operating articulated dump trucks.
- Current site safety training, such as ConstructSafe, is advantageous where applicable.
