NZ Bakels Ltd is a food manufacturing company supplying high quality food premixes, baking ingredients, release agents and icings to the baking industry.  We seek an experienced Production operator to join our team based at Penrose, Auckland.  A good package will be offered to an experienced production operator with skills and training in:

• Blending plants

• Automated machinery

• Previous experience in food manufacturing

• Qualification / understanding in food hygiene

• Counterbalance & Picker experience

If you are a fit, energetic person (capable of lifting 25kg bags all day) with a clean work record, like to work unsupervised and pride yourself on attendance then you may be the right person to join our health and safety focused team.

The ideal candidate will have the following:-

• Experience with machinery operation, blending plants, automated equipment, counter balance and picker qualifications.

• Be health and safety conscious, adhere to onsite health and safety requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience and be physically fit

• Be quality focused without compromising

• Flexible hours (day or afternoon shift and possible weekends)

• Be excellent at multi-tasking and working under pressure

• Work well in a team

• Have good written and spoken English skills

Responsibilities

• Role includes loading tip stations, pick & pack, and palletisation

Applicants should have a valid, full NZ driver’s licence, be legally be able to work permanently in NZ and at least two contactable referees.

NZ Bakels offers the successful candidate a competitive remuneration package including:

• Starting hourly rate > $30.00, moving to > $33 per hour within 24 months if proven to be a valuable team member

• Penal rates for any overtime worked and a meal allowance

• 10% superannuation after 6 months if a valuable team member

• Shift allowance if required to work on afternoon shift of $1.96 per hour

• Stable employment within an essential service business, approx. 40-45 hours per week where weekend work is possible
